Bobo is an auteur project that presents food as art. It is a cuisine without prejudice or stereotypes, based on the academic approach of the project’s authors — chef Artyom and pastry chef Alexey Grebenshchikov, brothers.
From the very first day, the restaurant has followed two directions: à la carte (French for "according to the menu") and set menus.
Set menus are the restaurant’s signature and are updated twice a year — spring—summer and autumn—winter — using the finest regional delicacies from across Russia.
The restaurant opened in 2018 and, over the years, has become a true mecca for gastro-enthusiasts and the creative class of St. Petersburg. According to the brothers, the main idea behind the restaurant was a desire to distance themselves from mass culture and create artistic, intellectual dishes that they themselves enjoy.
The brothers have completed internships at colleges in England, Australia, Finland, and France, and they deeply understand how essential it is to create while grounded in solid fundamentals. A pursuit of pure flavors, aesthetics, and balance — this is what defines the style of the Grebenshchikov brothers.
